We Are All Relieved

We Are All Relieved

We may not be glad that Fred Phelps died, but we are all relieved because he cannot disgrace anyone from the grave.  His power to disturb and to multiply the grief of the bereaved is gone.  His ability to vilify the undeserving is gone.  His ability to curse the blessed is gone.  We are grieved at his introduction to final judgment, but we are relieved for our sake that the one who chose the path of destruction is no longer around to attempt to destroy us. He could not destroy us. His attempt was futile, but one sinner destroys much good, as Solomon said, and he is done doing that.
