Working Nights

nights

Almost all new nurses get stuck working nights. I am fortunate to have my dream job in my dream unit at my dream facility, and I am working nights.

I am trying to make it work, but it is a total life change to work three 12 hour night shifts each week. We are allowed to have quite a bit of input into which three nights, but occasionally I get stuck with a random night all by itself which ruins about three nights.

For the month of May, I have requested to get all of my shifts in increments of three.

Here’s hoping that I actually get to try that. If it works, I may stay on nights long term.
